.SilverStone ECM40 is a PCIe 4.0 x16 to 4 x M.2 NVMe SSD expansion card designed for users looking to expand their storage capacity by adding up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs via a PCI-Express x16 slot. The ECM40 supports four M.2 SSDs in various form factors, including 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280mm. Since high-performance M.2 SSDs can generate significant heat during operation, which may lead to thermal throttling and data loss, the ECM40 features a 40mm dual ball-bearing cooling fan with 7,000 RPM to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
